Detention, worked out for you
Arrival and departure times become hours over free time, and one press puts detention on the invoice.
Step by step
- Detention is time spent waiting at a stop. It is worked out from the Arrived and Departed times of each stop. Drivers set them with I have arrived and I am leaving; you can also type them under Stops on the load and press Save stops.
- Set the load’s terms under Details: Free minutes, Per hour after that and Cap, if any. Left blank, the load uses your standard terms. Press Save load.
- Open the Detention card on the load. For each stop it shows On site, Over free time and Owed. It bills whole hours after the free time, rounded down.
- Press Bill this stop. A Detention line is added under What it pays, one per stop, and it goes on the invoice.
- If a stop says Already billed at this dock, that place was already billed on this load. An owner can bill a genuine second visit with Confirm a second visit and bill it, after saying why under Why did the truck come back?.
The Detention card is only for people who may see company money. It cannot change once the load is Billed.
