From Small fleet

Each driver on his own rate

Per mile, a percentage of the load or a flat amount per load, with or without deadhead, as a company default or for one driver.

Step by step

  1. Open Pay.
  2. Under Company default, choose a Method: Rate per mile, Percentage of the load or Flat amount per load. Fill in only the matching box: Per mile ($), Driver share (%) or Flat ($).
  3. Set From to the date it starts. Earlier pay is unchanged.
  4. For per-mile pay, choose Paid for deadhead miles or Loaded miles only under Empty miles.
  5. Press Save. Everyone without a rate of their own is paid this way.
  6. Someone paid differently? Under Individual rates, press Change beside their name, fill in the same boxes and press Save. The Source column shows Own rate, Company default or Not set.

A percentage is worked out on the part of the load the driver shares in; see Driver shares under What it pays on the load. A driver marked Not set cannot be settled until they have a rate or you set a company default.
